We are pleased to present the fourth article in our new ‘Me and My Dunlops’ series. This is dedicated to the adventurers among you, where you tell us the places that you and your Dunlop’s have explored, sites you have seen and where exactly your tyres have taken you.
An adventure weekend in the heart of Italy

The team: five readers of Motociclismo magazine, the editor, two journalists and me.
Our two-day trip started in Fidenza where we fitted our bikes with new Dunlop Trailmax TR91 adventure touring tyres. Our tour would be 70% road and 30% off-road, which perfectly suits this choice of rubber.
From Fidenza, our afternoon ride took us through amazing landscapes, on beautiful roads in glorious Tuscany Hills and Emilian Woods.
We eventually arrived at our hostel, ‘I lagoni” near Pontremoli on the shores of a beautiful lake, as the light was fading. Our dinner featured typical local dishes - mushrooms, boar and polenta, eaten together with another group of bikers we had met earlier in the day. After which we all slept in bunk beds – an amusing sight!

After a rich breakfast our ride continued towards Monterosso, a beautiful town near LaSpezia in Liguria. Half way we went hard core off-road to test the other feature of the TR91 tyres, and I’m pleased to say everyone agreed they offered feeling and confidence beyond our expectations.
That evening we arrived at Monterosso where we marked the end of the tour with a refreshing swim in the Ligurian sea.
The event was amazing and the team was very close knit – even during some scary moments! Many thanks to the team at Motociclismo.
